A Chave (The Key)
A member of the faxina opens a door that leads to the tranca. The faxina is responsible for searching the other prisoners' personal belongings for contraband, leading to a strained relationship between the groups.

O Filho Amado (The Beloved Son)
A prisoner in the tranca hides his face. His arms are tattooed with dedications to his son Gabriel and his mother Luzinete.
O Jogo (The Game)
Faxina members enjoy greater freedom to move about the prison premises and more comfortable accommodations, including mattresses, fans, video games and conjugal visits.
O Olhar (The Look)
A prisoner in the overflowing tranca peers out from behind the prison bars. Lower-class Brazilians are well known for their resilience and good humor in the face of trying circumstances.
